Web Radio Japanese : Nihon no Oto
Even as a geek, I must admit I do not know a lot of Japanese music, apart perhaps from some generic animated (and animated films), such The Knights of the Zodiac or My Neighbor Totoro. But the magical land of internet, someone had the good idea to create a radio (in French) dédiée à la musique et à la culture japonaise : Nihon no OTO !
created in 2011, This web radio aims to disseminate and make known the sound Japanese and other cultural aspects of this country so adulated, especially geek culture and otaku. It now 65000 listeners per month, like what, les fans sont nombreux !
Web radio therefore broadcasts a wide variety of Japanese music - from classics to great everything just fell into tubes bins - enough to forge a strong musical culture made in Japan. The list of musical styles represented is rather long and contains, I admit it, certaines catégories inconnues pour moi : J-Pop, Idol, Anisong but Vocaloid, Enka et Visual-Kei. On their YouTube channel, Nihon no OTO puts you treat for the eyes with videos taken during these events. Perso, I crack a little before that of the group Sayura. You said kawaii ?
La radio propose aussi une pléthore de podcasts sur des sujets variés : video games, animated, sleeves, events, Japanese culture, and groups in vogue. Because it follows the news closely artists, it is definitely THE information source to consult for concert not to miss any of your favorite bands or artists in France and in the rest of Europe.
